Chapter 6: Kermis

A sugar high and crisp bite of apple, you close your eyes as you spin and hope it never ends....

The Kermis candle is there to capture the essence of the last weeks of summer. As all out candles it evokes a nostalgic memory for me. This of end of summer fairs, which punctuated the end of summer…

Children are laughing, and shouting. All around you are bright multicoloured lights and they blur around you as the carrousel spins you round. A large pink cloud of freshly spun cotton candy sits on a long stick in your hand. You see the smiling faces of the people you love flash by.

When you run to your next ride, toys stand in large stands and people shout the amount of three games. The scent of sticky toffee apples and candied pecans dance from the trucks around you.

You are high on sugar and laughter and for just this moment it feels like summer is never ending.

Chapter 6. Kermis

Kermis is the Dutch word for a summer fair, I spend many an evening in summers fairs at the end of summer. When I genuinely believed summer would never end.

The Kermis candle is a sweet and playful blend that carries the enchanting aroma of freshly spun cotton candy, with its sugary allure and whimsical charm. The scent of toffee apples complements the experience, adding a delectable twist of caramelized sweetness, reminiscent of the indulgent treats often found at these events, while having an undertone of the crisp freshness of a red apple.

I hope you light it and your summer never ends.

Lots of Love
